“The ultimate measure of a man is not
where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience,
but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
~ Martin Luther King, Jr. ~
Marketing, Fundraising and Awareness (MFA) provides a platform for connecting; for community; for taking part in and becoming part of, the DAPD family – with only one aim in mind and in heart – to empower persons living with challenging impairments to live and fulfill the vision and mission of DAPD.
DAPD’s Marketing, Fundraising and Awareness basically go hand in hand and this is achieved via various events that are held throughout the year, including:
Annual reflection of the year’s achievements from August to August. Open for the public and anyone interested in investing in the opportunities DAPD is creating for their clients.
Mr & Miss DAPD
The first Mr & Miss DAPD, which is a challenge for our clients to take part in, was held in 2016. NOT a beauty pageant, NOT a competition in the true essence but rather a challenge for self-growth and embracing the winning and losing ordeal of the reality of life.
Annual event celebrating and give appreciation to growth, performance, development, empowering. An event for gathering of community, family, friends and clients to celebrate the year’s achievements.
DAPD’s Annual Sportsday, held in conjunction with CPUT, is a challenge to discover all the hidden sports talent amongst our clients.
Casual Day, held the First Friday in September, sees us joining the NCPD in the National Fundraising & Awareness Day for Persons with Impairments.
